On October 31, 2023, students from the 3rd and 4th years of the Faculty of Instrumentation Engineering had the opportunity to participate in an engaging soldering masterclass. The event was organized by Oleksander Povshenko, who has extensive experience in soldering microchips and teaches courses in 'Fundamentals of Robotics and Robot Programming' and 'Computer-Aided Design of Electronic Circuits.'
Prior to the masterclass, a student survey was conducted, and an impressive 95% of respondents expressed a high interest in participating.
At the beginning of the masterclass, Povshenko O. provided a comprehensive overview of soldering techniques for electronic components in modern circuits. He discussed the necessary tools and components for successful soldering. Furthermore, he demonstrated all the processes via smartphone cameras, allowing each student to see the procedures up close and receive real-time answers to their questions.
In the second part of the masterclass, students had the opportunity for hands-on soldering practice, honing the techniques taught by the Povshenko O.
The event proved to be not only informative but also enjoyable. We hope to continue organizing such activities to provide all participants with unique knowledge and valuable skills.
