The 3rd Scientific and Technical Conference with International Participation "Non-Destructive Control in the Context of Associated Membership of Ukraine in the European Union - NDT-UA 2019" was held in Kyiv from September 17 to September 20, 2019. The conference was organized by the Ukrainian Society for Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics (UTNKTD), the Training Center for Non-Destructive Testing of DP-TEST and the Department of Instruments and Systems for Non-Destructive Testing (PSNK) of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

The participants of the conference were able to listen to reports on the latest innovations of legislation and technical regulations, standardization, certification and prospects for the development of science in the field of non-destructive testing.

During the conference, the organizers planned workshops and seminars with the participation of leading experts on the following issues:

• new edition of ISO 9712, ISO / TS 25108: 2018 "Requirements for Personnel Training Organizations in NDT field", revision of EN 4179 "Aerospace Series. Personnel Qualification and Certification", ISO 18436, ISO 18490 (Shchupak S., Leading specialist in certification of personnel and standardization in the field of non-destructive testing of the UTNKTD, Ukraine),
• • practical aspects of organizing and conducting internal audits in accordance with DSTU ISO 19011 (Lavrentyev MO, CEO of Global Certificate Dnipro, Ukraine),
• • Reluminati: a new method for the early detection of fatigue cracks (Yaremenko Y., MR Chemie GmbH, Germany),
• • using the FR and TOFD technologies to improve testing productivity and the probability of detecting heterogeneities, using Olympus-IMS equipment (Bodolai Tamas, Olympus Czech Group)
• • Fujifilm digital systems (Pavliy O., CEO of Diagnostic Devices LLC),
• • Bulgarian companies' experience in implementing European NDT practices (Angelov S., Alexiev O., Bulgarian Society for Nondestructive Testing and Flaw Detection).

Professor Kuts Y., Lashko O. and Lysenko Y. participated in the conference with reports from PSNK department. It will be possible to read the conference materials in the scientific and technical university library.

In addition, at the conference was demonstrated prototypes of the new computer-integrated ultrasonic flaw detectors from Ultracon and Olympus. The implemented functionality in the new devices has sparked a lively discussion by scientists and leading experts.

The conference "Non-Destructive Control in the Context of Associated Membership of Ukraine in the European Union - NDT-UA 2019" allowed participants to discuss important issues of developing the field of non-destructive testing, training for its specialists and to identify possible directions for further cooperation.
