Research interests: research devoted to fundamental and applied issues of mechanics of gyroscopic and navigation devices of moving objects, and dynamics of aviation electromechanical systems.

Bezvesilna Olena is a Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and Professor at the Department of Automation and Non-Destructive Testing Systems.
In 1972, she graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Gyroscopic and Navigation Devices. In 1977, she defended her Ph.D. thesis, and in 1991, her doctoral dissertation. She has held the following positions: Professor of the Department of Instrument Engineering (December 1991 - May 1992), Head of the Department of Instrument Engineering (May 1992 - June 2001), Head of the Main Accreditation Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (February 1996 - August 1997), Professor of the Department of Instrument Engineering (June 2001 - July 2021), and Professor of the Department of Automation and Non-Destructive Testing Systems (July 2021 - present).

Olena Mykolaivna has been an Academician of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Ukraine since 1994, a full member of the New York Academy of Sciences of the USA since 1997, an Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (1999), and an Honored Professor of NTUU "KPI" (2007). She heads the specialized council for the defense of dissertations. She has formed a new scientific direction in mechanics: the development of a theory and principles for constructing a new aviation automated gravimetric system, and advanced computer technologies for studying the Earth's natural resources. She is the scientific supervisor of research projects commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Defense, and the National Space Agency of Ukraine on major problems of science and technology. She is a member of the editorial board of the "ZhSTU Bulletin." She was a Research Professor at NTUU "KPI" (2006–2016). She is an Honored Professor of NTUU "KPI" (2007) and an Honorary Professor of ZhSTU (2011).

She was awarded the medal "In Commemoration of the 1500th Anniversary of Kyiv" (1992), received the honorary badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine "Excellence in Education" (1996) and an honorary diploma from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (1997), an honorary diploma from NTUU "KPI" "For Scientific Achievements" (2007), the honorary badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine "For Scientific Achievements" (2007), received a Letter of Gratitude from the Head of the Kyiv City State Administration (1998) and a Letter of Gratitude from the Kyiv City Mayor for many years of fruitful pedagogical activity and high professionalism (2002), was awarded an honorary diploma from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2011), and is a laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology of Ukraine (2017).

She is the author of 950 scientific articles, including 35 monographs, 47 copyright certificates and patents for inventions, 14 textbooks with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and 9 study guides with the stamp of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
